This page implements an algorithm which recognizes melodies based on pitch and rythm patterns. By describing the melody as 'up', 'down', or 'same', and 'long', 'short' or 'same duration' the algorithm attempts to match it to a tune from the database. Although the database is just starting, it is growing all the time.
